THE BODY OF CHRIST - 'EVERY JOINT SUPPLIES...'
"…It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists and some to be pastors and teachers - to prepare God's people for works of service - SO THAT - the Body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ…Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From Him the whole body, JOINED AND HELD TOGETHER BY EVERY SUPPORTING LIGAMENT, grows and builds itself up in love as each part does its work…"Ephesians 4…Colossians 2:19, 1 Corinthians 12-14 NIV
Christ (represented by the red cross representing His blood and work,
on the white head – representing righteousness) is the Head of His Body,
which is expressing His love all around the world. Loving God and others is
the Body’s mandate. The various colors of the Body reflect the various
gifts represented in and through the Body. These are connected by the supporting
ligaments/sinews – depicted here by red hearts representing the love
that is so vital if the gifts and members of the Body are to function smoothly
together as one, in unity with the Head. Notice again the purpose: that we
'all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become
mature, attaining to the WHOLE MEASURE OF THE FULLNESS OF CHRIST"...!
