Although a person puts a password on their VISA account to prevent identity theft, it is on a second screen and does not come up when you phone in. You can phone in to speak to an agent and they may not even ask you for your password. You might want
If you want them to request a password from you, you have to request that telephone banking is not allowed. You always have to phone in and ask for an agent, so they can ask you for your password. What they do is remove your date of birth, so it cannot be keyed into the system when your credit card number is keyed in. That way, you are automatically rerouted to an agent, who will ask you for your date of birth and a password.
It appears that this applies to everyone that does phone banking?
Even if you call in from your home phone number, apparently thieves have ways of tapping into your phone line so it looks like they are calling from your home.
You may wish to stop all credit card phone applications.
