The potter- see FIGURINE, NOTE CARD
In Scripture we are sometimes referred to as the clay while God is referred to as the Potter. The process He takes us through to refine us and shape/mold us in order to make us usable/beautiful vessels for His glory, often greatly parallels the process a potter must go through with the clay. Understanding this process can make it easier for us to go through it in some ways.
One of the many aspects of the process is SURRENDER; another is the WAITING process - as the people on the shelf are doing. It's a place where we don't know what's going on and He doesn't seem to be too concerned about us knowing what comes next. Often in these times we can tend to feel quite useless and even abandoned by God, though that is not the case. WAITING is a very important part of the process even though it feels quite useless and horrible at times
In this figurine, we are the ones waiting on the shelf for His timing, and for the firing after He has molded and shaped us - one is praising God, one is frustrated and bored, one is praying the one He's working with has their hands raised to Him in surrender )
